Aron WIllis, Director
In 2010, TransAlta moved to London House in a traditional lease model and have operated from the St Georges Terrace property since.
In recent years, the power and electricity company were faced with the opportunity to bid for a major project that could change their business in Australia. However, prior to putting forward their proposal, CEO Aron Willis needed to ensure they could access additional project space at short notice. Working with Hawaiian’s Commercial Leasing Manager, space on a lower floor was quickly identified for a short term lease.
TransAlta went on to win the project, with Aron’s first call to Hawaiian to progress the additional space. “Because we know Hawaiian’s team well and they understand our business, it was easy to work with them to identify a full floor in Parmelia House that met our needs. Having won a major project I needed my team to make a quick move, at low cost, minimal disruption to the business and no loss of facilities for staff. Hawaiian knew exactly what to do and helped us move our whole business over a weekend,” said Aron.

Mr Willis continued, “It’s clear to our whole business that we are valued by our landlord. Even with some minor noise in the building of late [due to upgrade of facilities], we’re already enjoying the new end of trip facilities, will be signing up for the gym, know that the lobby refurbishments will add further appeal
and always appreciate the morning teas and seasonal gifts that are gifted to us. Hawaiian makes it easy for us to stay focussed on the success of our core business – which is critical in a challenging environment.”
